Keep the technical foundation sound
Google says the usual SEO foundations apply to its AI features. Important content should be indexable, accessible through links and available in readable text. Animation or client-side interfaces must not be the only way to discover the service description or answer.
Answer a real question directly
Use a descriptive question heading and a concise answer before expanding with conditions, trade-offs and examples. Be precise about what your business does and does not provide. Vague superlatives offer little useful information for either a buyer or a system assembling an answer.
Make evidence easy to inspect
Publish approved project detail, dated observations and primary sources where appropriate. Keep company name, address, contact details and service descriptions consistent. Do not invent credentials, expert quotations, customers or results to make a page look authoritative.
Treat structured data as description
Use schema to describe what is actually visible, such as an organization, service, article or breadcrumb. There is no special schema that guarantees an AI citation. A machine-readable directory can be convenient, but it is not a substitute for useful content or external reputation.
Measure carefully
Track identifiable referrals and business enquiries alongside search performance. Sample relevant prompts periodically and record the platform, date and cited URLs. AI answers change and may be personalized; a single mention is not proof of a stable universal ranking.
